Praise Be Jesus Christ!
Happy Thanksgiving! We read in 1 Thessalonians 1:2 – “We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers.” I want you to know this is exactly what I do for you – I ALWAYS thank God for you and mention you twice in my daily prayers! This is not some flattering sentiment but a real fact! As a sign of my gratitude to you, I will offer Mass for you and your intentions this year on the day after Thanksgiving Day Friday, November 25th. I ask you to please continue to pray for me – I need your prayers and count on them!

This year I, too, have a lot to be thankful for at my Parish. We are in the midst of celebrating the 150th anniversary of St. Joseph Church, the place where I have been pastor these last 14+ years. As we celebrate this milestone, we are not focusing on where we have been, but where we are going. In what ways does Jesus want to use us to bring His Name glory in the future? It is all about Jesus — and not about us.

The same is also important for our Foundation. We have done a lot, by God’s grace and your generosity, these past 12 years, but we need to make sure that we focus on the  future and where the Lord is calling us next. I just finished recording a series entitled “Knowing Jesus and His Church,” which is a set of 22 talks that parishes can use for their RCIA programs; however they can be used by anyone who wants to grow in their faith. The talks will be available as a set or as individual CDs, DVDs, and MP3s. The production of 22 new CDs and DVDs is costly; however, even if one person comes to know Jesus Christ in a personal way, this fulfills our mission devoted entirely to bringing people to know Jesus Christ.

So this is where you come in. I need to humbly ask you to help us do God’s will. I hate asking people for donations; I know how tight things can get for people. But I also know that you can never be more generous than God, and, when you are generous with Him, and, His people, then He will bless you more than you can imagine! So if you can, I ask you to pray about helping the Foundation to bring Jesus and His saving message of Hope and Salvation to the world! Thank you so much; I know I can count on you!

Just a reminder that you can call me, text me, or e-mail me questions every Thursday on my EWTN show, “Open Line,” at 3:00 PM Eastern on local Catholic radio stations, Sirius XM Satellite Radio: Channel 130, and through the internet or the EWTN App. We receive testimonies daily from people as far away as Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia because of this weekly program.

Finally, I have available the new Hope House Retreat Center brochure showing what your previous generosity has accomplished. Click here to download the brochure for viewing and/printing.  The Hope House Retreat Center is now open for overnight retreats! You are always welcome to come and pray and encounter the risen Lord Jesus!

Once again, have a very blessed Thanksgiving! Know of my prayers for you and your family. May God bless you for your generosity!
In His love,
